All about you

“Explain why you chose your blog’s title and what it means to you.”

Yowza, Here we go! I first heard the word Yowza on Cartoon Network. If memory serves right, it was Recess but it could have been another. In the episode, this guy kept using the word “Yowza” as we use the word “like” today. One of the characters spoke with him and made him realize that he had not said the word Yowza in over 60 seconds. For me, this is a challenge as well as a wonderful childhood memory. It makes me realize how much I don’t want to use words such as like, whatever, um, and others in my casual conversation. Taylor Mali has a really good poem addressing the same issue: Totally like whatever, you know? This serves as a reminder to me not to use it in my daily conversation nor in my writing.

The “Here we go!” part is a running commentary on my own personality. Even though I know I shouldn’t do something, I do it anyways. I wonder how many times I’ll use filler words and I’m more than positive that I’ve already done so, in this post.
